Suspense, Cliffhangers and… Marketing?
Cliff hangers work, don’t they? There you are… hooked into a story-line, connected to the characters and then it flashes… ‘to be continued’. This leaves you with the need to know more. You want to have your questions answered so that you can see the outcome and draw connections from your personal experience.
This method makes for more than great tv. Think about it. It brings home the ‘less is more’ philosophy. Apply this concept to your marketing messages.
In a nutshell: tell people what you do in a concise, meaningful way. Share relevant insight, knowledge and experience. But also create a ‘cliff hanger’ that leaves them wanting to know more about what you do and how you solve problems.
