Stop for a Moment to Be Thankful.

As the year goes barreling past us again, I find myself marveling at how quickly time flies. I have many reasons to be thankful and I won’t bore you with my long list. However, I will ask you to do one exercise for me:

Please stop for a moment, actually, make it a full 60 seconds. Take a few deep breaths, close your eyes and savor the brief break. Ignore your email, texts, cell phone and whatever else may be distracting you at this very second. We live in a frenetic environment. One that calls for being efficient and productive for hours on end. We so rarely take those splendid moments to just be quiet and alone with our thoughts. Whatever those thoughts are, recognize them but let them slip away for just this moment.  Feel good?  I hope so!

I leave you with one final thought:

“My wish for you is simple. I hope your holiday is filled with the most wonderful things in life. Happy Thanksgiving!”
